By using our website and/or placing an order for goods you confirm your agreement to our Terms and Conditions, including the Privacy Policy, as set out below:

Conditions

An order for goods placed by you, the client (the buyer) shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions.

All other Terms and Conditions, expressed or implied by statute or otherwise, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect the statutory rights of any consumer.

The words 'you' and 'your' used throughout these Terms and Conditions refers to the client.

The words 'we' 'our' and 'us' used throughout these Terms and Conditions refers to The Bees Knees Design Bureau (the seller).

Copyright and Confidentiality

All designs and stationery are the copyright of The Bees Knees Design Bureau. All rights are reserved.

The client is liable for any Copyright breaches on any content provided by the client to The Bees Knees Design Bureau.

Any design work that is used after termination of the contract is a breach of copyright, for which the client will be held liable.

Any designs created for you using our Bespoke Design Service will remain copyright of The Bees Knees Design Bureau.

The client is not permitted to resell or make profit from selling design work created by The Bees Knees Design Bureau.

Any unauthorised reproduction of designs or products is strictly prohibited.

Any unauthorised copying or printing of our design work may result in prosecution.

Samples

A range of samples are available for the stationery designs shown on our website. Samples will be supplied to you in the same colour(s) and format as they appear on this website. If you would like to amend the designs slightly or make changes to the colour(s) available please discuss your preferences by contacting The Bees Knees Design Bureau.

An additional non-refundable fee will be charged for this service.

The cost of samples will be refunded when you place an order with us.

Samples for our Bespoke Design Service can only be provided on receipt of a 50% deposit based on the sum total of the quotation.This is due to the uniqueness of the design.

Package samples are made available as part of our service to help you decide which design and colour best suits your requirements. Our samples are an indication of print and material quality only.

Bespoke Design Service samples are personalised and will provide an idea of the final artwork and colour chosen by you the client.

Colours shown in the images displayed on this website and electronic e mail proofs may vary slightly from the colours of the final printed product. This is because colours displayed on screen and in print are slightly different. However we try to show all stationery products and colours as accurately as possible. We do advise clients to order samples wherever possible before ordering stationery.
The cost of samples is refunded when you place an order with us giving you the confidence to be completely happy with the design and colours before you buy.

Orders

Orders can be placed by telephone, e mail or by post.

Once the 50% deposit or full payment has been made and you have supplied us with the required information to feature on your stationery items, you will receive electronic stationery drafts by e mail.

All text that you (the client) would like to feature on your items of stationery must be supplied to us (the seller) in Word, Excel or e mail format (this includes guest names). We (the seller) are unable to produce your order if you (the client) do not supply us with this information, as and when we request it.

If you the client (the buyer) fail to supply us (the seller) with the required information to produce your order, The Bees Knees Design Bureau cannot be held liable for being unable to complete your order.

It is your responsibility to check that your order details are correct before your stationery item(s) go to print.

The checking of proofs is the responsibility of the client. We require written confirmation either by e-mail stating that the proof(s) are correct and/or that the requested amendments have been made or with a signed physical sample accompanied by completed sample approval form. We will not begin printing your order until you have confirmed that all details are correct and you are happy to proceed to final print.

All confirmation details are dated and stored.

The cost of any order placed by the client allows for one set of client amendments. Any additional changes after this are charged at £10.00 per amendment.

Please note; there is a minimum order quantity of 20 for some individual products available in the packages. We (the seller) may accept smaller orders of some items, but this is at our discretion and may incur an extra charge - please contact us for more information.

Please note there may be small variations in colour between samples, proofs and final products. This is due to the nature of printing at different times. Any variations in colour that may occur will not result in a refund or return. This is at the discretion of The Bees Knees Design Bureau.

No order submitted by you, the client, shall be deemed to be accepted by us unless and until we confirm acceptance of your order by e-mail (where applicable) or by telephone.

We are entitled to refuse any order placed by you and will not be required to provide an explanation.

Bespoke Design Service

Our Bespoke Design Service involves an initial face to face or telephone consultation, during which we will gather as much information about you and your wedding as possible to enable us to design the perfect range of stationery for you. Face to face consultations are charged at £20.00 per hour, take place on mutually convenient ground and are at the discretion of The Bees Knees Design Bureau.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau (the seller) owns the rights to any Bespoke Design commissioned by the client (the buyer).

The Bees Knees Design Bureau reserves the right to use images of your Bespoke Design on their website, in any form of advertising and marketing material including magazine features and blogs, (personal details will not be shown).

If you supply us with your own items e.g. photographs, to aid us in the design of your bespoke stationery The Bees Knees Design Bureau will endeavour to ensure that your photographs are returned to you in the same condition as we received them. However, should any loss or damage occur The Bees Knees Design Bureau cannot be held liable. Any photographs supplied by you the client (the buyer) to The Bees Knees Design Bureau (the seller) for reproduction and sale will be accepted as full permission to do so. Therefore, you the client (the buyer) will be responsible for any illegal reproduction undertaken due to incorrect licensing or breach of copyright laws.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau will inform you the client (the buyer) if images supplied (are in our professional opinion) not of suitable quality to print. However if you the client (the buyer) chooses to retain use of the image, this must be confirmed in writing.
The Bees Knees Design Bureau will not be held responsible for the quality of the reproduction.

Proofs

Proofs are available to all clients as a hard copy or PDF proof and are a means of enabling you to check your chosen product design, wording and layout prior to the final prints.

You as our client (buyer) are totally responsible for checking your personalised proof(s) ensuring that the details including spelling, grammar, punctuation and use of images are exactly as you would like them to appear.

Once we have received your 50% deposit we are able to begin the personalisation process and can produce personalised e mail proofs for your approval. The remaining balance of 50% will be invoiced upon approval of your first batch of personalised e mail proofs. We are unable to dispatch any part of your stationery order for delivery until full payment is received.

We are able to provide physical proofs for approval by post, however we will only do this if requested to do so in writing by you the client (the buyer).

Notice of any amendments to your design, colours, wording or layout is required from you in writing and then the proof itself will be altered accordingly.

The quotes that we provide are based on one set of client amends on receipt of your email proof(s). Any additional amendments or proofs after the first set of amendments will incur a charge. The charge is £10.00 per amendment.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau will endeavour to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy in our proofs using the information supplied by you the client (the buyer); however the responsibility of all text, colours, guest names and appearance of final products will lie with you, the client (the buyer), once you have approved the final email proof(s).

Goods

The client is fully responsible for gaining permission to use any photographs, hymns, poems or songs that you would like to feature on any of your stationery items. Any photographs, hymns, poems or songs, etc supplied by you the client (the buyer) to The Bees Knees Design Bureau (the seller) for reproduction and sale will be accepted as full permission to do so. The client will be responsible for any illegal reproduction undertaken due to incorrect licensing or breach of copyright laws.

All materials and personalisation must be approved by signature before your goods go to final print.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau does not accept any liability for goods lost in transit. Scheduled delivery dates are given as a guide only. The Bees Knees Design Bureau will not be held liable for any losses as a result of failure to meet specified delivery dates.

 You must notify us within 24 hours if your order has not arrived by the arranged delivery date.

Prices

All quotations given by The Bees Knees Design Bureau will be valid for 30 days from the date of quotation. All quotations will be supplied in writing as a hard copy or electronically by e mail.

A copy of the written estimate or quotation needs to be signed and dated by the client to confirm acceptance and should be returned to The Bees Knees Design Bureau. Work cannot commence until this confirmation has been received by The Bees Knees Design Bureau.

If the client's final order changes from the original agreement made for the quotation, The Bees Knees Design Bureau reserves the right to vary the quotation.

Prices for our Bespoke Design Service will be quoted on an individual basis depending on your requirements as the client (the buyer).

An invoice is to be paid in full within 7 days of the invoice date.

Payment Terms

All prices listed and quoted by The Bees Knees Design Bureau are in Great British Pounds Sterling.

A 50% deposit is required based on the quotation we supply to you. This will cover initial consultation and design work. The second stage of payment (the remaining balance of 50%) will be invoiced upon approval of your first batch of personalised final wedding stationery proofs.

No stationery order will be printed and dispatched for delivery until full payment is received and cleared through our bank account. This ensures that ownership is passed to the customer once posted.

All products remain the property of The Bees Knees Design Bureau until full payment is received and cleared.

Once any payment has been received from you the client (the buyer) this is taken as confirmation from you that you have read and agree to all Terms and Conditions of The Bees Knees Design Bureau as listed above and below on this web page.

Payments for all services or items can be made by the following methods:

Bank Transfer (BACS)
Cheque

All items and services remain the property of The Bees Knees Design Bureau (the seller) until they are paid for in full by you the client (the buyer).

Delivery (Postage and Packing)

Delivery of samples will be dispatched to you the client (the buyer) by Royal Mail First Class service supported by a certificate of Proof of Postage.

Delivery of orders will be dispatched to you the client (the buyer) by Royal Mail First Class service supported by a certificate of Proof of Postage or, on request, by a special next day delivery service or alternative courier service on behalf of The Bees Knees Design Bureau. A signature will be required to provide us (the seller) with proof of receipt.

* ORDER VALUE is for the complete replacement of contents and their production.

Information supplied about delivery charges applies only to orders placed within the United Kingdom. For very large orders the delivery cost may increase due to parcel weight. For delivery to countries outside of the UK please contact us.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau endeavours to meet all delivery deadlines. However, all agreed delivery dates are approximate and The Bees Knees Design Bureau cannot be held responsible or accountable as a result of failure to deliver on any set date or dates.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau accepts no liability for goods lost in transit. As you (the buyer) are billed for postage and packaging (delivery) as soon as the seller has dispatched your (the buyer's) order/goods complete responsibility is handed over from the seller to you the client (the buyer). If the client's (the buyer's) goods do not arrive as scheduled or they do not arrive at all it is the responsibility of the buyer to track the goods in transit. The client (the buyer) may request the parcel tracking number from the seller at any time after their goods have been dispatched.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau is not liable for any consequential loss.

Return of Goods

You, the client (the buyer), will be required to inspect the goods as soon after delivery as is reasonably practicable and will notify us of any shortages, defects in the goods or any other complaint in respect of them within 3 days of receiving the goods.

We are confident that you will be delighted with the stationery that is supplied to you, however, in the unlikely event of any errors occurring on the part of The Bees Knees Design Bureau, these will be rectified at our cost.

Please contact us within 3 days of receipt of goods, in order that action can be taken.

We will ask that any stationery in question be returned to us accompanied by a letter or separate e mail, detailing any faults or damage (postage will be reimbursed to the client if it is established that the fault lies with The Bees Knees Design Bureau).

Stationery will be replaced or rectified as required based on an individual case basis. All settlements will only be made with replacement stationery.

Save in respect of any shortages or defects if you, the client (the buyer), fail to comply with this clause, we will not be held legally liable in respect of any other complaint which should have been brought to our attention within this period.

Limitation of Liability

We will use all reasonable endeavours to carry out our obligations within a reasonable period of time but will not be liable to you, the client (the buyer), for any loss, costs or expenses arising directly or indirectly from any delays in doing so. We will not be deemed to be in breach of this Agreement by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of our obligations in relation to this Agreement, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control.

Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the following will be regarded as causes beyond our reasonable control;

Act of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident; War or threat of war, sabotage, civil disturbance or requisition; Acts, restrictions, regulations, bye-laws, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental, parliamentary or local authority; Import or export regulations or embargoes; Strikes, lock outs or other industrial actions or trade disputes; Difficulties in obtaining raw materials, labour, fuel, parts or machinery; Power failure or breakdown in machinery.

If we are prevented from carrying out our obligations in the above circumstances, we will notify you in writing. If we are still prevented from carrying out our obligations 3 weeks from the date such notice was sent, then either party may give written notice to the other cancelling the Agreement. If the Agreement is cancelled in this way we accept no liability to compensate you for any loss or damage caused by failure to perform.

Except where you, the client (the buyer), are dealing as consumer (as defined in the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 section 12) we do not give any warranty, guarantee or indemnity as to quality, fitness for purpose or otherwise of the goods.

Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, we will not be liable to you, the client (the buyer), for any loss of profit or any indirect special or consequential loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims, which arise out of or in connection with the supply of goods other than as a result of a breach of an obligation arising under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1973.

Website

We will attempt to ensure that the information available on the website at any time is accurate. However, we will not be held liable for any errors or omissions. We will use all reasonable endeavours to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after becoming aware of being notified of these.

All drawings, images, descriptive matter and specifications of the goods on the website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods.
We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the website, including Prices, Terms and Conditions, availability of any features, information, database or content or restrict access to parts or all of the website without notice or liability.

Any external links provided on our website are for your convenience, however they are beyond the control of The Bees Knees Design Bureau. When visiting external links featured on our website you must refer to that external website's own Terms and Conditions of use. The Bees Knees Design Bureau holds no responsibility for any experiences or transactions you may have with these sites.

General

We reserve the right to use photographs and physical copies of you the client's (the buyer's) personalised stationery items for our website, blog, newsletter and wedding show exhibitions at any time.

We may from time to time change, alter, adapt, add or remove portions of the Terms and Conditions. In this instance we will post any such changes on the website.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of this Agreement and the remainder of the provision in question will not be affected.

English law will apply to this Agreement, and the parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

The headings in this Agreement are for convenience only and will not affect their interpretation.

Privacy Policy

The Bees Knees Design Bureau is committed to protecting your privacy.

We may wish to contact you to inform you of any new products or special offers in the future. If you do not wish to be contacted by us then you must confirm this in writing.

If we have a query in relation to your order it is normal for us to make contact with you via telephone or e-mail.

The Bees Knees Design Bureau will not disclose your payment details to any third party. We are committed to maintaining the security of your payment information.

Updates to this Privacy Policy will be posted on our website from time to time.
